About the Burtons

Elder and Sister Burton of Twin Falls, Idaho have set out on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to serve the people of Russia. They will be seeking partners, to find and fill needs in the communities where they serve. The Burtons have been called for a year and a half and are eager to get to know the people and areas where the Lord sees fit to place them.

  1. Hi! I got the name of your blog from Marge and found you via Google. I had read about Pres. Uchtdorf’s visit and wondered if you had been able to see him.

    Wonderful!

The dandelion crown/halo is great. Very intricate… I will enjoy reading your postings! Love, Marilyn

  2. Dear Arva and Devere,
We love reading all about what you are doing on your mission! It is so informative and thrilling too as you see how the Lord has put you in certain situations to help fulfil his plan for one of his children to recieve the gospel.. We are busy getting ready for our mission!! only one month left ot go! We enter the mission home on Sept 14- Provo. Then
on Sept 28th we fly to Madrid Spain to spend a week in the mission home there. Then on to the Island of Teneriife, in the Canary Islands. It is a thousand miles from Spain but still part of the Malaga Spain Mission. We have so much to get done, it is hard to spend as much time as we need to on the language but we work hard at it every chance we get. I’m sure glad I don’t have to learn Russian, Spanish is hard enought! Our prayer go with you for your safety and most importantly for your success in spreading the gospel there. It sounds like you are really learning to love the people there. That is so great!
    Love the Andrews

You attempted to call me recently and mentioned Skype as means of communicating. I do need to visit with you soon. Please try to reach me again.
    Thanks,
